Signing Up for a Charity Account
Signing up is completely free and fast.
Please complete the registration form on our website. We will just ask you to provide the name and CRA-issued business number of your organization, along with some contact information and create a password for the account.
Once the form is completed, you will receive the next steps via email.
For a full fundraising account, we require a completed copy of this Banking Information Form in addition to a third party document verifying that the bank account is in your charities name. A void cheque that lists your charities name as registered with the CRA pre printed alongside your account number, transit number, and institution code is recommended however, any official document from the bank that contains this same information will suffice.
If you would like to claim your charity’s profile and continue receiving disbursements via cheque we can accept one document from the CRA that meets the following criteria:
- Is on CRA letterhead
- Contains your charity’s name as registered with the CRA
- Contains your charity’s CRA business number (BN)
- Is not publicly available
Examples of acceptable documents include but are not necessarily limited to:
- Confirmation of charitable status
- Confirmation of receipt of T3010
- Notice of debit / deposit (Tax Return)
