[Donor Management System] Issuing Duplicate Tax Receipts

After issuing a Tax Receipt, you can easily reissue it if a donor has requested a duplicate copy or for your own records.

Reissuing a Single Tax Receipt

1. Go to the Contributions Tab

2. Search for the specific Contribution you wish to reissue the Tax Receipt for and either:


Selecting the Contribution Amount

3. Select the specific Contribution Amount

4. On the next page, select Issue Duplicate Tax Receipt at the top right

5. You will then see more information about the already receipted Contribution

6. Select either:

  • Download to save the duplicate receipt as a PDF, or
  • Email and Download to save the duplicate receipt as a PDF (via your backend email for receipt communications) and email the Contact with the attached PDF.

7. When ready, select Issue Duplicate Tax Receipt.

8. The Duplicate Tax Receipt will then be downloaded and/or sent to the Contact’s registered email address.


Selecting the Actions Menu

3. Select the Actions menu at the upper left side of the Contributions list

4. Select Issue Tax Receipts (Separate Receipt for Each Contribution)

5. You will then be directed to the Separate Receipt Export Page. You will have the chance to review and select the following:

  • How many Contributions were selected and all potential duplicates.
  • Tax Receipt Status: highlights Contributions that have already been receipted and the ones that have not.
  • Issue tax receipts for the X# unreceipted contributions only.
  • Issue tax receipts for all Y# contributions. Previously-receipted contributions will be marked ‘duplicate’.
  • Run in preview mode?: preview how your finalised Tax Receipt(s) will look like.
  • Download: save your Tax Receipt(s) in PDF format to be sent to your Contacts manually.
  • Email and Download: save your Tax Receipt(s) in PDF (via your backend email for receipt communications) and automatically send a copy of the receipt to the Contact’s primary email.

Note: the DMS will identify potential duplicates and Contacts with no email address before issues the Tax Receipt(s). You will have the option to update these Contacts or bypass any of these warnings.

6. Review the necessary information and select Issue tax receipts for all Y# contributions. Previously-receipted contributions will be marked ‘duplicate’.

7. When ready, select Issue Duplicate Tax Receipt.

8. The Duplicate Tax Receipt will then be downloaded and/or sent to the Contact’s registered email address.


Reissuing multiple Tax Receipts

1. Go to the Contributions Tab

2. Search for a specific Contribution or select either:

  • (1) The specific Contributions you wish to reissue Tax Receipts for,
  • (2) Every listed Contribution on the page, or
  • (3) All Contributions in your search criteria

3. Select the Actions menu at the upper left side of the Contributions list

4. Select Issue Tax Receipts (Separate Receipt for Each Contribution)

5. You will then be directed to the Separate Receipt Export Page. You will have the chance to review and select the following:

  • How many Contributions were selected and all potential duplicates.
  • Tax Receipt Status: highlights Contributions that have already been receipted and the ones that have not.
  • Issue tax receipts for the X# unreceipted contributions only.
